Momodu Backs Adeleke Against Tinubu in Osun Election

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that the upcoming Osun State governorship election on August 15 is a contest primarily between incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke and President Bola Tinubu, rather than a direct competition against the All Progressives Congress (APC). Momodu, who is backing Adeleke despite being a member of the ADC, emphasized his support aligns with the coalition of opposition parties aimed at uniting against the APC.

He described his long-standing friendship with Adeleke, noting their shared birthday and close relationship. Momodu asserted that the APC cannot match Adeleke's popularity in Osun, urging citizens across political affiliations to support the governor, whom he believes is being bullied and intimidated.

Although the ADC has its own candidate, Najeem Salam, Momodu appealed to his party to allow him to support Adeleke in this election.
