Ejigbo Youths Back Oyebamiji for Osun Governorship Poll

On Wednesday, youths from the 11 wards in Ejigbo Local Government, Osun State, rallied in support of Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress candidate for the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15. Miftau Adebowale, the leader of the Ejigbo Youth Stakeholders, urged voters to prioritize substantive political issues over emotional appeals.

Adebowale, a former Special Assistant Media to ex-Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, highlighted the need for development in the local government, including improved road networks, agricultural support, and youth employment. He praised Oyebamiji's track record, noting his previous role as Commissioner for Finance, where he increased Osun State’s Internally Generated Revenue from six billion Naira to twenty-four billion Naira without imposing heavy taxes.

Adebowale also mentioned Oyebamiji's experience as the former Managing Director and CEO of the National Inland Waterways Authority. He called for collective support from various community groups for Oyebamiji, asserting that his candidacy aligns with the heritage and leadership needs of Ejigbo.
