Senator Oyewumi Launches Road Project in Osun State

On Saturday, Senator Lere Oyewumi, the Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate and representative of Osun West, inaugurated the construction of a 0.5-kilometer Akinola-Agbaraale road project in Iwo, Osun State. He stated that local contractors should be encouraged to manage developmental projects to boost the local economy.

The road was selected due to its significance for the socio-economic activities of residents, and Oyewumi promised its completion before the end of the year. He also mentioned plans to donate solar lights to communities in Iwo.

Oyewumi highlighted that the Akinola road, over 100 years old, had never been constructed before. He urged residents to support local contractors and monitor the project's progress.

Additionally, he commended the community for supporting Governor Ademola Adeleke's re-election and encouraged continued support for Accord candidates in the upcoming 2027 elections. Halidu Adeoye, the Accord Party chairman for Iwo LG, praised Oyewumi's previous projects and urged residents to back his bid for a second term.
