Osun Shooting: Accord Chieftain Buried, Police Recover Body

Olalekan Oyeyemi, known as ‘Emir Ajagungbade’ and a chieftain of the Accord Party in Osun State, was buried at his newly completed residence in Agunbelewo, Osogbo, following his death during a clash at Mayfair Motor Park in Ile-Ife. The incident involved Oyeyemi and a group led by a leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, known as Sibi.

A video circulated on social media showing Oyeyemi lying face down in a pool of blood inside a vehicle. Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke confirmed Oyeyemi's death and instructed the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Zungura, to apprehend those responsible.

The Osun Police Command reported the recovery of another corpse at the motor park, bringing the total casualties to two. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation, and the police urged individuals connected to the crime to report to the nearest police station.
