Osun SSG Teslim Igbalaiye Released After Police Raid

Teslim Igbalaiye, the Secretary to the Osun State Government, was released by the Osun State police command on Thursday following his arrest during a raid on his residence in Osogbo on Wednesday. The raid resulted in the detention of Igbalaiye and five others, including a suspect on the police watchlist, Oladele Abiodun.

The police recovered N4,810,500, two permanent voters’ cards, a voter register, a Dynabook laptop, a photocopy machine, and a printer from Igbalaiye's residence. Pelumi Olajengbesi, spokesperson for the Imole Campaign Council, announced Igbalaiye's release on Facebook, thanking the Inspector General of Police and the Commissioner of Police for their intervention.

He emphasized the importance of the police in upholding justice and the rule of law. Following the arrests, members of the campaign team reported that over 86 individuals had been detained across Osun State without lawful justification.
