Adeleke Urges Support for Osun Re-election Amid Developments

Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State and Accord Party governorship candidate, called on voters to support his re-election during the Arise Townhall Meeting on Tuesday. He asserted that his administration has made significant developmental strides since his return to power in 2022, following what he described as being cheated in the 2018 governorship election.

Adeleke emphasized that "Osun State money will stay in Osun," promising that government funds would benefit residents. He defended the quality of road construction projects undertaken by his administration, stating that qualified Nigerian engineers were employed and supervised.

He accused the All Progressives Congress of using propaganda against him and expressed confidence in his electoral victory despite alleged intimidation tactics. Adeleke, who has a background in criminology, discussed security measures, including the recruitment of 1,500 Amotekun personnel.

He noted that Osun had been peaceful until recent election-related violence and intimidation began.
