Accord Party Wins Oyinlola's Polling Unit in Osun

In the recent governorship election held at Court Hall I in Okuku, Odo-Otin Local Government Area, the Accord Party emerged victorious at the polling unit of former Osun Governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, garnering 125 votes. The All Progressives Congress (APC) secured second place with 85 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) received five votes.

Other parties, including the African Action Congress (AAC), Social Democratic Party (SDP), Young Progressive Party (YPP), and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), received minimal votes, with several parties recording none. A total of 228 voters were accredited, resulting in 220 valid votes and eight rejected ballots.

This outcome is notable as Oyinlola had publicly endorsed Bola Oyebamiji, the APC governorship candidate, over the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, despite the APC being a rival party. The results reflect a significant win for the Accord Party in a polling unit associated with a prominent political figure.
