Aregbesola Loses Voting Unit in Osun Governorship Election

In the Osun governorship election held on Saturday, Rauf Aregbesola, the National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, lost his voting unit, Ifofin Ward 8, Unit 1, in Ilesa East Local Government Area, to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The APC secured 256 votes, while the ADC received 13 votes, and the ruling Accord Party garnered 43 votes.

Aregbesola cast his vote in the afternoon during an election characterized by a large turnout and peaceful proceedings. In another location, at Ward 1, Unit 2, Ibokun NUD Primary School in Obokun Local Government Area, Diran Odeyemi, the National Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party, witnessed the Accord Party winning with 211 votes against the APC's 178 votes.
