Adeleke Wins Ede South LG in Osun Governorship Election

In the ongoing Osun State governorship election, Ademola Adeleke, representing the Accord Party, has secured victory in the Ede South Local Government Area, defeating his closest rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to the local government collation results, Adeleke garnered 26,188 votes, while Oyebamiji received 6,219 votes, resulting in a significant margin.

The total valid votes recorded in Ede South were 33,210, with 740 votes rejected, leading to a total of 33,950 votes cast. This outcome is expected to enhance Adeleke's standing as results continue to be collated from the 30 local government areas in Osun State.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is tasked with reviewing and announcing these results at the respective centers before the final declaration at the state collation center in Osogbo.
