Vote Buying Allegations Surface in Osun Governorship Election

Voting is currently taking place at Polling Unit 010, Registration Area 04, in Atakunmosa East Local Government Area of Osun State, where the governorship election is ongoing. The process has been reported as peaceful, with no disturbances noted.

However, allegations of vote buying have surfaced, with voters claiming they were directed to meet party representatives outside the polling unit after casting their ballots. According to a field update from the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), the All Progressives Congress (APC) was allegedly offering N15,000 per voter, while the Accord Party was reportedly offering N10,000.
