Youths Seize Cash from Alleged Vote Buyers in Osun

During the ongoing governorship election in Osun State, angry youths at Ward 4, Units 7 and 13 in Ejigbo intercepted alleged vote buyers, seizing a nylon bag reportedly filled with N1,000 notes. An unnamed man, who displayed the bag to journalists, stated he was unaware of the exact amount of money inside.

He claimed that the youths collected money from some of the alleged vote buyers while others managed to escape. The incident was reported to have occurred between 10:15 am and 10:30 am, with allegations that money was being distributed to voters at that time.

The man did not disclose the identities of those involved in the distribution or the total amount recovered. This event has heightened concerns regarding vote buying in the Osun governorship election, as candidates and political parties compete for votes across the state.
