Otedola Applauds Dangote Refinery as It Achieves Full Production Capacity

Nigerian billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Femi Otedola, commended Aliko Dangote as the Dangote Refinery successfully reaches its full production capacity of 650,000 barrels per day. The refinery, managed by Dangote Petroleum Refinery, announced the achievement after completing critical testing and optimization processes.

David Bird, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Petroleum Refinery, highlighted the refinery's operational efficiency and compliance with global standards. Otedola praised the refinery's potential to transform Nigeria's energy landscape by reducing the country's dependence on imported petroleum products, thereby easing pressure on the foreign exchange market.

He expressed optimism that the refinery's success would strengthen the Nigerian currency, the naira, and improve trade conditions. Additionally, Otedola revealed that Dangote has plans to further expand the refinery's capacity, signaling continued growth in Nigeria's oil and gas sector.
