Governor Otti Honors Late Mother of Gregory University Founder

On Friday, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State honored the late Ugoez Margaret Ib, the mother of Professor Gregory Ib, founder of Gregory University, during her burial in Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Government Area. Otti described Ugoez Margaret Ib as not just a parent but a builder of character and a nurturing figure whose values significantly influenced her son's accomplishments, including the establishment of Gregory University.

He emphasized her strength, endurance, and the impact she had on her family and community. Otti assured the family and the people of Abia State that they share in their grief and prayed for God's strength during this time of loss.

Professor Gregory Ib, the first son, referred to his mother as a mentor whose greatest desire was for her children to follow a righteous path. Deputy Speaker of the House, Benjamin Kalu, also paid tribute, noting the void left by her passing.
