Otu and Udofia Set for CBN Senior Tennis Championship

The 47th Central Bank of Nigeria Senior Tennis Championship is set to commence today at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. Players who ranked successfully in the qualifying rounds and wildcard entrants will compete in the men's singles round of 64 and women's singles round of 32.

Adeley Cannic is the top seed in the men's singles, followed by Michael Emmanuel, Danjuma Lucki, Moham Musa, Sani Inabo Yahaya, and Thomas Otu, who is the 14th seed and known as "Star Boi." Otu reached the quarter-finals last year and aims to improve his performance this year. In the women's singles, fourth seed Mari Udofia is determined to address past shortcomings and challenge for the title.

Today's fixtures include Cannic opening against qualifier Ureyang Timbra and top seed Kadilat Moham facing Timipr Maxwel.
