Tinubu Inaugurates Karu Township Road to Boost Economy

On Monday, President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, inaugurated the newly rehabilitated and expanded Karu Township Road in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This project aims to inject life into the local economy and alleviate severe traffic congestion affecting residents.

FCTA Minister Nyesom Wike emphasized the road's significance in improving living standards for FCT residents and noted that the expansion would dramatically reduce daily travel times and eliminate frustrating gridlock. The project, which is part of Tinubu's administration's third-anniversary activities, showcases a commitment to urban renewal and infrastructure development.

Wike commended the local contractor, Abdul Val Construct Limited, for delivering quality work on time, demonstrating that Nigerian firms can meet international standards. The road project is expected to significantly improve access, ensure smooth traffic flow, and enhance security in the highly populated Karu area, which is a preferred residential location due to its proximity to the city center.
