YBWorms Expands Social Learning Programme to Nine Schools

The Young African Bookworms Initiative (YBWorms) has received approval from the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) to expand its Paragon Train Club to four additional public primary schools and five low-income private primary schools in Ikorodu, Lagos. This expansion increases the programme's reach to nine new schools, building on its previous implementation in five schools across Lagos.
The Paragon Train Club is a structured Social, Emotional and Ethical (SEE) Learning programme aimed at equipping primary school pupils with essential life skills such as emotional intelligence, empathy, and responsible decision-making. Omotola Oni, Programmes Manager at YBWorms, stated that every child deserves the tools to thrive in life, emphasizing the importance of this initiative.
As part of the expansion, teachers from the participating schools will receive specialized training to facilitate structured weekly sessions. YBWorms aims to create emotionally healthy and ethically grounded children, welcoming partnerships to further its mission of transforming education through social and emotional learning.
