Kaduna Health Sector Alert: 60 Illegal Colleges of Health Technology Threaten Public Health

The Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria (ACHPN) in Kaduna State raised concerns over the existence of over 60 illegal colleges of health technology in the state. The chairman of ACHPN Kaduna State chapter, Comrade Aliyu Abdulrasheed Umar, highlighted that while there are 25 legally operating schools, 60 are operating without accreditation.

These illegal schools pose a serious threat to public health and professional standards. The Association emphasized the need for accreditation by the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria to ensure the production of qualified personnel and prevent quackery in the healthcare sector.
