Oyo Govt Seals Unaccredited Health College in Ibadan Over Unauthorized Programs

Oyo State Government shut down Covenant College of Health Technology Medical Sciences in Apata, Ibadan, for operating without proper accreditation and offering unauthorized programs. The enforcement operation, led by the Director of Nursing Services, Dr.

Kehinde Oyebode, revealed the institution was deceiving the public by running unapproved courses like Nursing Technician and Nursing Assistant. The college was misleading students and parents into believing they were enrolling in accredited programs.

The government expressed concerns about the implications of the unauthorized operation on public health and safety. The institution had started academic activities without approval and was collecting tuition fees illegally.
