Three Injured in Separate Lagos Road Incidents

In the early hours of Saturday, three road incidents occurred in Lagos State, resulting in three injuries but no fatalities, according to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA). The first incident happened at approximately 12:07 am at Olupese Bus Stop when a truck carrying granite developed a fault due to its rear tyre being trapped in a pothole, obstructing traffic towards Oshodi.

Emergency responders, including LASEMA's Eagle Response Team, diverted traffic and removed the truck without any injuries reported. At 12:59 am, a collision occurred at Aswani Bus Stop involving a Toyota Sienna and an oncoming truck, injuring two women and one man, who received immediate medical attention before being transported to the hospital.

The truck was later extracted and handed over to LASTMA. The final incident at 1:19 am involved a concrete mixer truck and a Volkswagen bus on Oba Ogunji Road, attributed to excessive speeding by the bus, with no injuries reported.

Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA's Permanent Secretary, commended the coordinated response and urged responsible driving.
