Ozonkpu Celebrates 70 Years of Political Impact

Dr. Victor Ikechukwu Ozonkpu, known as Ikechukwu Oy, celebrated his 70th birthday on July 18.

He is recognized for his impactful contributions to politics and public service, particularly as the immediate past national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). During his tenure, he navigated the party through turbulent times, ensuring its survival amid intra-party crises and expanding its influence beyond its traditional stronghold in Anambra State.

Under his leadership, APGA became the third-largest political party in Nigeria, achieving electoral victories in states such as Taraba and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Ozonkpu emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication in politics, stating that success requires continuous effort.

A devout Christian, he has also contributed to community development and inspired many young politicians. His legacy includes a commitment to good governance and the nurturing of values within his family and community.
