Tinubu Lauded for Successful Rescue of Oyo Abductees

Bola Oyebamiji, a member of the Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council, praised President Bola Tinubu and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu for their roles in the rescue of 39 pupils and seven teachers abducted from a school in Oyo State. The incident occurred on May 15 when gunmen attacked the Commun Grammar School and Baptist Nursery Primary School in Oriir Local Government Area, resulting in the abduction of the victims and the death of teacher Michael Oyedokun.

Oyebamiji's statement, signed by Oluremi Omowaiy, highlighted the successful operation led by the Nigerian Armed Forces, Department of State Services, Nigeria Police Force, and other security agencies, which managed to bring the abducted individuals home without collateral damage. He extended condolences to the families of the victims, particularly to the family of the late Mr.

Oyedokun, and emphasized the importance of a robust security architecture in the region.
