Oyebanji Targets 700,000 Votes for Tinubu in 2027

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji announced his target of securing between 600,000 and 700,000 votes for Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. Speaking to newsmen at the state house in Abuja, Oyebanji expressed confidence in achieving this goal, citing the growth in electoral support for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He noted that in the 2022 governorship election, the APC garnered 187,000 votes, which increased to 210,000 in the 2023 presidential election, and he anticipates a further rise to 318,000 in the 2026 governorship poll. Oyebanji attributed his electoral success to divine grace and Tinubu's support, pledging to run an inclusive administration during his second term.

He has already initiated contact with major opponents and promised to ensure cooperation for the development of Ekiti State. Oyebanji remains committed to implementing the state's 30-year development plan, which will guide governance and budget priorities.
