Ekiti Governor Rewards Spell Bee Champion with N2m

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji presented a cash gift of N2 million to 14-year-old Oluwadamilola Adeolu, who recently won the Africa Spell Bee competition. The total reward package amounted to N8 million, which included N5 million for her school, St.

Lawrence Metropolitan College, and N1 million for her coach, Esther Omolayo. During the ceremony held in Ado Ekiti, Oyebanji expressed his commitment to prioritizing education as a central pillar for the state's development.

He commended Adeolu's achievement as a reflection of Ekiti State's long-standing tradition of academic excellence. The governor also pledged to sponsor Adeolu's participation in the upcoming World Championship in China, along with her mother and coach.

He emphasized the importance of hard work and discipline for students and reiterated his administration's efforts to improve the educational sector by investing in infrastructure and resources. Adeolu expressed her gratitude for the support and recognition from the governor.
