Oyebanji Visits PDP Candidate Oluyede After Election Win

On Sunday, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji visited the People's Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Dr. Wole Oluyede, at his residence in Iker Ekiti. This visit occurred after Oyebanji delivered a victory speech, revealing that he had won the recent election with 319,224 votes, defeating Oluyede, who garnered 40,543 votes, and the ADC candidate Dare Bejid, who finished third with 12,872 votes.

The meeting took place at approximately 2:30 PM, with Oyebanji accompanied by Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and other political leaders. Although the details of the discussions between the two leaders were not disclosed, the visit underscores the importance of collaboration among political stakeholders to advance the interests of Ekiti State.

The result of the election was declared around 3 AM on Sunday by the INEC Chief Returning Officer, Professor Adenik Oladiji, from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).
