Accord Party Dismisses Oyinlola's Endorsement Impact

The Osun State chapter of the Accord Party has asserted that the recent endorsement of Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress candidate, by former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and other leaders from the Peoples Democratic Party will not impede the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke. In a statement signed by Accord Party Chairman Victor Akande in Osogbo, he claimed that Oyinlola, along with former Secretary to the State Government Fatai Akinbade and former Commissioner for Special Duties Tajudeen Oladipo, had previously worked against Adeleke's election in 2022 but failed to prevent his victory.

Akande characterized Oyinlola's endorsement as politically inconsequential, stating that the individuals involved had opportunistically returned to a party that he accused of harming the people of Osun. He urged the citizens to continue mobilizing for Adeleke's re-election, emphasizing that the defectors lack the political influence to sway public opinion against a governor recognized for positively transforming the state.
