Accord Party Rejects Imumolen's APC Endorsement in Osun

The Accord Party has rejected the endorsement of Bola Oyebamiyi, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, by its expelled former presidential candidate, Chris Imumolen. Accord's National Chairman, Chief Maxwell Mgbudem, stated that Imumolen no longer represents the party and described him as lacking electoral value.

Imumolen's attendance at the APC campaign rally in Osogbo, where he endorsed Oyebamiyi, was cited as evidence of his disassociation from Accord. The party asserted that it remains strong in Osun and is confident in a victory for Governor Ademola Adeleke in the upcoming election on August 15.

Accord accused the APC of resorting to violence and intimidation, alleging misuse of federal institutions to undermine the state government and Accord members. The party called for a credible election and urged the international community to monitor the electoral process, emphasizing its readiness and confidence in Adeleke's leadership.
