Alagbe Picks Aborisade as ADC Running Mate for Oyo 2027

Dr. Gbemileke Alagbe, known as Eleniyan, has claimed the governorship ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 election in Oyo State and has appointed Chief Niyi Aborisade as his running mate. During the formal presentation in Ibadan, Alagbe emphasized his commitment to prioritizing infrastructure, industrial development, agriculture, and security.

He outlined a vision for a people-centered governance model, aiming to create jobs and unlock the state's economic potential. A key initiative includes developing a light rail system to enhance the movement of agricultural produce and stimulate economic activities.

Alagbe also pledged to secure ungoverned spaces using modern technology to improve safety in Oyo. He assured residents that his administration would protect their properties from arbitrary demolitions and land grabbing.

Alagbe dismissed concerns about divisions within the ADC, asserting unity and a commitment to reconciliation among members. ADC Chairman Alhaji Yinka Olona confirmed that the primary election was conducted lawfully, expressing confidence in the party's prospects for the 2027 election.
