Eight schoolchildren and a teacher are currently hospitalized at Ladok Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, following their rescue from a kidnapping incident that occurred on May 15, 2026. Prof.

Among the hospitalized victims, some have been diagnosed with congenital heart defects and are receiving adequate medical attention.
A total of 39 pupils and five teachers, including Mr. Racheal Alamu, the principal of Community Grammar School Ahoro Esienl, were brought to the hospital for further treatment.
The victims will be discharged once they are certified medically fit.
