Oyo APC Unveils Senator Alli as Governorship Candidate

On Friday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State unveiled its candidates for the 2027 general elections at a ceremony held at the state APC Secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan. Senator Sharafadeen Alli, who currently represents the Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, was announced as the party's governorship candidate.

He expressed gratitude to God, President Bola Tinubu, and party members for his selection. Alli emphasized the importance of unity among party members, urging that those who contested the governorship ticket alongside him should be viewed as brothers rather than opponents.

He promised an inclusive administration focused on education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure. Soji Adedeji was named the deputy governorship candidate.

The party also unveiled candidates for the Senate and House of Representatives, including Senator Yunus Akintunde for Oyo Central and Hon Akeem Adeyemi for Afijio/Atiba/Oyo East/Oyo West, among others. Candidates for the State House of Assembly were also presented across all 32 constituencies.
