APM's Adekanmbi Welcomes APC Defectors in Oyo

Bimbo Adekanmbi, the governorship candidate of the All Peoples Movement (APM), held a special Juma prayer session on Friday to welcome defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ido, Ibarapa East Local Government Area. During the event, Adekanmbi expressed gratitude for the support received during his statewide thank-you tour, which aimed to mobilize support ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

He assured new members of APM that there would be equal opportunities within the party and emphasized a vision of inclusivity and justice for all stakeholders. Adekanmbi urged the defectors to collaborate with existing party members to strengthen the party's structure across the local government area.

Notable defectors included Hon Olumid Akinola, popularly known as Olumba, and members of the Olumba Socio-Political Forum (OSPF), who cited unfulfilled promises and lack of political inclusivity as reasons for their departure from APC. Adekanmbi concluded the event by appreciating the support received across all 33 local government areas in Oyo State.
