Oyo State Dismantles Kidnappers' Hideout After Rescue

The Oyo State Government demolished a three-bedroom bungalow in Aiyegun, Oluyole Local Government Area, on Monday, following the successful intelligence-led rescue operation of Busayo Adegok, sister of Bayo Adelabu, a former Minister and 2027 gubernatorial aspirant. Adegok's twin sons, Peter and Paul, were abducted on June 3, 2026, but regained their freedom on Saturday night after a coordinated operation by the Nigeria Police Force.

The demolition was led by Abdulmoje Mogbonjubola, the State Commissioner for Works and Transport, alongside police officials. Mogbonjubola warned property owners against allowing their premises to be used for criminal activities, emphasizing the government's commitment to combating insecurity.

Four suspects were arrested in connection with the abduction, and various items, including firearms and drugs, were recovered during the operation. The police urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
