Iseyin Local Government Funds 18 Scholarships for Students

The Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State has sponsored 18 students from the community on scholarships to study at the Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, Ibadan, over the past three years. Council Chairman Rasaq Fadiran disclosed this information while addressing journalists in Ibadan on Thursday.
He explained that the beneficiaries were selected through a thorough screening process conducted by the university and are pursuing courses in medical, engineering, technology, and basic digital skill acquisition. This scholarship program, supported by the government of Governor Seyi Makinde, aims to provide timely educational opportunities for brilliant students in Iseyin.
Fadiran noted that since he became Chairman three years ago, the initiative has positively impacted the lives of the students and the community. He credited Governor Makinde for facilitating this program, which contributes to Oyo's educational development.
The six students awarded scholarships for 2026 have recently resumed academic activities following orientation programs at the university.
