Oyo Police Arrest Agboola Emmanuel for Machete Attack

The Oyo State Police Command arrested Agboola Emmanuel in connection with a machete attack that occurred on September 14, 2026, during a land dispute in Eruwa, Ibarapa East Local Government Area. The incident was reported by a concerned individual who intervened and ensured the victim received medical attention.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim encountered Agboola Emmanuel, Dare Agboola, and Monday while they were engaged in charcoal production on September 11, 2026. A disagreement escalated into an altercation, resulting in the three men using machetes to inflict injuries on the victim.

During interrogation, Agboola Emmanuel admitted his involvement and identified the other two suspects. The police are intensifying efforts to apprehend Dare Agboola and Monday.

Commissioner of Police, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, cautioned the public against taking the law into their own hands regarding land disputes and emphasized seeking legal redress instead.
