Oyo Police Arrest Two for Diesel Theft in Ibadan

The Oyo State Police Command announced the arrest of two individuals, Yusuf Mutiyat, a 43-year-old, and Ogunniyan Rashe, a 64-year-old, in connection with the theft of diesel in Ibadan. The police made this declaration through a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlad, and made available to the Daily Post on Friday evening.

The suspects were reportedly engaged in the illegal siphoning of diesel from a mixer truck. The operation was conducted based on credible intelligence and cooperation from members of the public.

Following the arrest, a search was conducted which led to the recovery of various items linked to the criminal activity, including 24 barrels containing 240 liters of diesel each, totaling approximately 10,000 liters, with an estimated value of N12,000,000.
