Oyo SUBEB Denies Exam Leakage, Threatens Legal Action

The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB), under the leadership of Executive Chairman Dr Nureni Adeniran, has denied allegations of involvement in the leakage of results from the recently concluded Common Entrance Examination in Oyo State. The board described the claims, made during a radio program in Ibadan, as false and misleading, asserting that such allegations could harm its reputation.

OYOSUBEB clarified that it had no role in the conduct, setting, production, or handling of the examination questions. The board emphasized its commitment to transparency and professionalism, urging journalists to verify information before reporting.

It stated that inquiries regarding the examination should be directed to the Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Furthermore, OYOSUBEB warned that any defamatory statements or continued smear campaigns against its leadership would result in legal action, asserting its dedication to maintaining the integrity of its operations and focusing on strengthening basic education in the state.
