Oyo State to Prosecute Examination Malpractice Offenders

The Oyo State Government has announced its intention to prosecute any individuals, including teachers, head teachers, or principals, found guilty of examination malpractice in connection with the Common Entrance Placement Examination held on August 6, 2026. Olusegun Olayiwola, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, made this declaration during a meeting with Local Inspectors of Education and school principals to address allegations of examination leakage and malpractice.

Olayiwola stated that the government has implemented measures to prevent such malpractice and that all principals have signed letters of indemnity. He warned that any school administrator involved in aiding or participating in malpractice would face legal and disciplinary actions.

The commissioner also urged media organizations to report responsibly and verify claims before making allegations against individuals or institutions. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to maintaining transparency and fairness in the education system.
