Pandemonium as Man Allegedly Stabs Lover to Death For Cheating on Him

A man, identified as Doctor, was arrested by the police in Port Harcourt for allegedly stabbing his female lover, Ima, to death over allegations of infidelity in the Mile 1 Diobu area. The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, August 17, 2025, after an argument escalated into violence.

Witnesses reported that Doctor reached for a knife and fatally stabbed Ima, leading to her death from excessive bleeding. A large crowd gathered outside the Azikiwe Police Division where the corpse was brought, and the suspect was taken into custody.

This incident follows similar cases in Okitipupa and Lekki, where individuals were arrested for violent acts against their partners. The police spokesperson, Grace Iringe Koko, confirmed the arrest and investigation into the matter.
