Gombe PDP Accepts Court Ruling, Orders New Governorship Primary

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State has expressed its respect for the Federal High Court's judgment regarding the governorship primary election held on May 26, 2026. The court nullified the emergence of Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami as the PDP's candidate for the 2027 general elections and mandated a fresh primary election to be conducted within one month.

In a statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Abdulkadir Ahmed Dukku, the PDP welcomed the court's validation of Prof. Pantami's membership and participation in the May primary. The party is currently reviewing the legal implications of the judgment and has urged its members to remain calm, peaceful, and united, avoiding any speculation or inflammatory actions that could create tension.

The PDP reassured its members that it would take necessary legal steps to protect its interests and uphold its democratic integrity.
