Parallex Bank Rewards Lagos U-15 Athletes with N1M

Parallex Bank awarded N1 million to ten exceptional athletes from Lagos State in recognition of their contributions to the state's historic triumph at the 2025 National Youth Games held in Asaba. Lagos dethroned the host, Delta State, by winning a total of 110 medals, comprising 52 gold, 32 silver, and 26 bronze.

The award ceremony took place at Parallex Bank's headquarters in Lagos, celebrating the young athletes whose performances led to Lagos achieving its first overall title at the National Youth Games. The beneficiaries included gymnast Stephani Onusiriuka, swimmer Dumuj Aidan, and cyclist Ashiru Ibrahim, among others.

Olufemi Bakr, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Parallex Bank, described the cash reward as an investment in Nigeria's future champions, emphasizing the importance of recognizing young talent early. Lekan Fatodu, Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, praised the partnership between public and private sectors in youth development through sports.
