Passengers Stranded for 12 Hours in Benin Bypass Gridlock

Passengers and commuters have been trapped in severe gridlock at the Benin bypass in Edo for about 12 hours, with some reporting being stuck since 1:50 am on Thursday. The gridlock is attributed to dilapidated sections of the road, which have forced trucks, buses, and other vehicles to seek non-existent alternative routes.

Travelers heading to the South-South and South East regions of Nigeria have expressed their frustration and are urgently appealing for government intervention to address the road conditions. As of the time of reporting, the situation remains dire, with no immediate resolution in sight.
