PDP Launches E-Registration Drive in Sokoto State

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) commenced an e-registration initiative in Sokoto State on Wednesday, focusing on expanding membership and improving data integrity. The launch event took place at Dankani Guest House as part of a nationwide effort to digitize membership registration and bolster grassroots mobilization ahead of upcoming elections.

Dahiru Yusuf Yabo, a former Commissioner for Water Resources, addressed the absence of some state executive members, attributing it to recent political realignments. He emphasized that the PDP remains a strong platform for mobilization across the country.

Hadiza Abubakar, a party stakeholder, explained that the e-registration system aims to enhance transparency and eliminate duplication, ensuring accurate member details. The initiative is designed to bridge the digital gap among grassroots members, with training sessions planned to assist community members in the registration process.

Abubakar dismissed claims of factionalism within the party, asserting that the PDP is fully prepared for the elections and will present candidates as needed.
