PDP's Umar Sani Explains Lamido's Chairmanship Exclusion

Umar Sani, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), clarified the reasons behind the exclusion of Sule Lamido from contesting for the national chairmanship of the party. Sani stated that Lamido's failure to follow the correct procedures, including submitting his nomination form at the party's annex office instead of the designated Wadata House, led to this decision.

Lamido has since approached the federal high court in Abuja to contest the outcome of the national convention, arguing that he was denied his fundamental right to participate in the party's chairmanship election. Sani emphasized that the party felt the court had not adequately addressed the matter.
