Makinde Group Urges Wike Loyalists to Rejoin PDP

The support group loyal to Seyi Makinde has called on Nyesom Wike's loyalists to return to the leadership structure of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). During an interview in Lagos on Thursday, Laja Adeoy, a convenor of the group, urged members of the caretaker committee to support Wike's return to the party's recognized leadership.

Adeoy highlighted the possibility of reconciliation within the party despite ongoing leadership disputes. He specifically mentioned the faction led by Moham Abdurahman and encouraged dialogue to restore stability.

The group noted recent judicial developments, including a ruling by Justice Jame Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja, which upheld the suspension of certain national officers linked to Wike's faction. Adeoy expressed confidence that unity among party leaders would strengthen voter engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections, emphasizing the PDP's commitment to transparency and development in Lagos State.
