PDP Faction Elects Dr. Bello Gambo as Kano Chairman

The faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to Nyesom Wike has successfully elected Dr. Bello Gambo as the new chairman of the party in Kano State.

This election, which took place under the supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), resulted in the formation of a new 39-member executive committee to manage the party's affairs. The process followed the dissolution of the former caretaker committee and was conducted through a consensus arrangement.

Dr. Aminu Abdullahi Taura, the former secretary of the Jigawa State government, oversaw the election.

The new leadership aims to strengthen relationships within the party and consolidate efforts to unite various factions, including those led by Ibrahim Shekarau and Aminu Wali. Dr.

Bello Gambo emphasized the need for reconciliation and building a viable front in preparation for the 2027 elections, ensuring that all members are included in the party's activities.
