PDP Criticizes Tinubu Endorsement, Turaki Appeals Warrant

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the endorsement of Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), by opposing parties, calling it immoral and unjust. Tanimu Turaki, a faction leader within the PDP, is appealing a bench warrant issued by Justice Peter Kekemek of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The warrant was issued after Turaki failed to appear in court to answer charges of providing false information to the police. The court proceedings were disrupted due to Turaki's sudden hospitalization, which led to his absence.

His legal team, led by Ibrahim Abdulahi, is seeking to quash the charges and has filed an appeal against the bench warrant. The PDP is also convening a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting to discuss internal reconciliation and the party's participation in the upcoming presidential elections.
