PDP's Umar Sani Declares Party 'Orphaned' Without Leadership

Umar Sani, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), expressed concerns about the party's current state, describing it as "orphaned" and not driven by any leadership bloc. Speaking on a morning show on Arise Television, Sani highlighted the challenges facing the PDP, including its failure to participate effectively in elections.

He noted that the party operates without clear direction and is currently factionalized. Sani referenced a recent appeal court ruling that nullified the suspension of certain members, which he argued undermined the legitimacy of the party's functions.

He stated that the PDP is left with no alternative but to reconcile its differences, suggesting that the best course of action would be to review and adjust its internal structures. Sani emphasized that the party is not driven by any individual or faction, indicating a need for unity and restoration to regain its strength in the political landscape.
