PDP Declares No Endorsement for Tinubu in 2027 Elections

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has officially stated that it will not endorse President Bola Tinubu for re-election in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Daboikiabo Warmat, a senior figure in the PDP, made this declaration during an interview on Friday.

He insisted that the party intends to present its own presidential candidate, asserting that the views expressed by the Federal Capital Territory Minister do not represent the party's official stance. Warmat emphasized that the PDP is committed to producing a credible candidate and will not consider endorsing the sitting president from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He also mentioned that the party's position is firm and takes into account various factors, including the ongoing crises within the party. This statement reinforces the PDP's intention to maintain its independence and strategic direction in the lead-up to the elections.
