Lagos APC Critiques PDP's Political Irrelevance

The Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) issued a statement on Thursday, criticizing the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for its perceived decline into political irrelevance across Nigeria. APC spokesman Sey Oladejo highlighted that the PDP, once a dominant political platform, has become a shadow of its former self due to ongoing internal crises, lack of ideological direction, and leadership struggles.

He noted that the party's significant divisions and absence of a clear political vision have weakened its position in Nigeria's political landscape. Oladejo characterized the PDP's years in power as marked by poor governance and economic mismanagement, referring to this period as a "locust" era that set the nation back decades.

He argued that the PDP has failed to learn from past mistakes and continues to struggle with internal discord. The APC urged the PDP to reassess its internal situation, emphasizing the need for a credible opposition to enhance Nigeria's democracy.
