PDP Names Abubakar Wambai as Deputy Governorship Candidate

The Adamawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced Alhaji Abubakar Mahmud Wambai as its deputy governorship candidate for the upcoming 2027 election. Wambai, who is from the northern part of Adamawa State and holds the traditional title of Madakin Mubi, will serve as the running mate to Chief Mauris Vunobolki, the PDP's governorship candidate from Numan in the southern part of the state.

Vunobolki's name was recently uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal, confirming his status as the recognized PDP candidate. Wambai is recognized as a seasoned administrator and former member of the House of Representatives.

His selection is viewed as a significant enhancement to the PDP's ticket, which was completed with this unveiling, allowing the party to intensify its campaign efforts ahead of the 2027 elections. The PDP is now the first party in Adamawa State to officially present a deputy governorship candidate for the upcoming election.
