PDP Faction Plans Appeal After Court Ruling Favors Wike

The Taminu Turaki-led faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has commented on a recent Federal High Court ruling that favored the faction led by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike. In a statement from the faction's national publicity secretary, Ini Ememobong, they expressed disappointment, claiming that political power and monetary greed influenced the court's decision.

The faction stated that the ruling did not align with previous judgments from the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, which they believe should be respected. Ememobong emphasized that the court's decision leaves the plaintiffs with no option but to appeal.

The faction has already instructed their lawyers to challenge the ruling in a higher court, expressing optimism that their case will prevail. They asserted that true multi-party democracy will ensure their victory, regardless of the Federal High Court's judgment.
